Admittedly, I was not impressed with La Bufadora on my first visit to Ensenada. I wrote a pretty salty post about it in the early years of this blog (you can find said salty post here).
When I returned to Ensenada the following year I had no desire to revisit this popular attraction to see if my feelings had changed. So I didn’t bother.
The other month, however, when we found ourselves once again in Baja California Mexico for our fresh little baby’s first trip, I felt it was time to go back to La Bufadora. I needed to know if it really is as bad as I remembered. Or if I was being unnecessarily critical that day. And guess what?
Conveniently located on the seaside boardwalk in the heart of downtown, el Mercado Negro / Ensenada Fish Market is a small building filled with stalls selling fresh seafood and touristy trinkets to locals and travelers alike. Continue reading →
